We are one of two preschools in Pembroke that is accredited by the NAEYC's National Academy of Early Childhood Programs.
NAEYC stands for The National Association of Education of Young Children. NAEYC is the world’s largest organization of early childhood professionals. NAEYC sets 10 rigorous standards for early childhood programs (these are: Relationships, Curriculum, Teaching, Assessment of Child Progress, Health, Teachers, Families, Community Relations, Physical Environment, and Leadership and Management). To earn accreditation, programs must meet all 10 standards, which were initially developed and are regularly updated by early childhood education experts nationwide. Accreditation is not mandatory but CNK decided that it would be a good idea to obtain accreditation to ensure we have covered all the bases in running a preschool. We are only one of two preschool/centers in town to have this accreditation. This accreditation is on top of our licensing through the Department of Early Childhood Education and Care. We are proud of this accreditation and hope that you are proud to send your children to CNK!
NAEYC Accreditation of Programs for Young Children is the mark of quality in early childhood education. Visit the NAEYC website to learn more about NAEYC Accreditation and how it helps parents make the right choice for their kids.
